Round-the-clock power for a logistics hub.
Westfield Energy Hub is a 24/7 distribution center with cold storage, automated sorting and a growing electric delivery fleet. Even short outages put inventory and deliveries at risk.
Solvera designed a solar and battery microgrid that keeps critical operations running and shifts energy use away from expensive peak hours.
Zero tolerance for downtime.
Grid interruptions and peak demand charges were costing the hub both money and reliability.
The facility needed a system that could:
Keep cold storage running during outages
Charge an electric delivery fleet overnight
Lower peak demand and energy costs
Scale with future expansion
A microgrid built for resilience.
Battery Storage
A 3.4 MWh battery system provides backup power and daily peak shaving.
Rooftop Solar
A 1.1 MW array on the warehouse roof charges the batteries during the day.
Microgrid Controls
Automated switching islands the site from the grid within milliseconds of an outage.
Fleet Charging
Smart charging schedules the delivery fleet around storage and tariff windows.

Client Quote
Since the microgrid went live we haven’t lost a single minute of cold-chain operations. It has paid for itself faster than we expected.
